Broken Ricoh FF-1s

Anyone know how to fix this?

The shutter automatically closes when the advance lever is halfway back to its resting position
(shown clearly in the linked video thanks to the flash). There is no way to take a picture the correct way.

I got this on Ebay from a well-reviewed seller in Japan recently, described as nearly mint (some amount of +’s). It seemed to work fine for the first roll, but now it doesn’t despite me taking extremely good and even paranoid care of it in the 1.5-2 weeks I’ve had it. Don’t want to return it if it’s a simple fix because I’m about to go on a trip and want to bring it.

Thank you !

Shutter needs CLA? it seems when cock the shutter, the film advance on its way return triggered the shutter, hence triggered the flash

Although nowadays, the FF-1s fetches a considerable amount of money, when it was produced it was a cheap compact never meant to be repaired if broken.
Yours seem to be suffering from shutter pre-firing. It might be something that can be repaired - noone knows until opened. Whether it worths the repair cost or not, only you can decide.

My view is that if you bought it recently, return it and get the refund. Most of these are 40 years old and will start having issues.
