I recently had to disassemble my Durst 301 to change the lensboard - a bent and jammed D-spring behind the lensboard release mechanism prevented it from sliding back and forth. While taking the entire head apart - without a parts diagram - I discovered two "extra" parts which jumped out - a coil spring, approximately 0.5 in (~ 1.5 cm) long, and a ball bearing approximately 0.125 in (~ 3 mm).
Does anybody know where they go, or have a parts / exploded diagram?
Thanks,
KenD

I don't really have any idea. But is sounds like you are describing something that has detents. The spring loads the ball bearing which fits into scalloped areas to hold something, thus detents. Good luck.

Found a manual but no parts explosion diagram.
I think oftheherd is right. Sounds like a detent usually for something that rotates of swings. The spring very likely goes in a hole and the ball bearing on the outside end of the spring which makes them a real ****** to put back where they came from.
