I just ordered and received a Canon IIf to give to my son for Christmas. I got it from CollectibleCameras.com out of Arizona. Looks to be in great shape. I'm more of a digital guy, and I'm trying to get it set up. I just assumed the standard 35mm film I had from from my old AE1-P would work, but for the life of me, I can't get this film to wind on the spool. The pictures from the manual I downloaded show a very different kind of leader on the film ... am I using the wrong film????:bang:

No you don't, you just have to pull out a bit more film and trim it like the old way. Here's an instruction:

I don't trim the leader, I just slide it in to the spool, slide the whole thing in as much as I can, open the shutter on B and hold it, then adjust the film to make sure it sit properly through the lens mount (but if you screw up your pressure plate doing this I cant be held responsible 😛)
