Help Loading film into Minolta Scan Dual II

Hi,

How to I load film into my newly bought scan dual II. Should the scanner grab the film holder or do I push it all the way in? Vuescan finds it put complaints about no film, when I push the filmholder all the way in and close, hit ok and nothing happends.

So panic...

With my Scan Dual II, I push the film carrier in until I feel resistance, no further. I then make my selection of the desired negative in VueScan, and the software controls the scanner to place the proper negative in position to scan. I never close the door when the negative carrier is being used.

So do you push the film bracket until you can close the door behind it?
Vuescan sets up the scanner and gets ready, then if I press preview it says "Scanner not ready insert film" I do that push the bracket in and close the door and press ok. After that nothing happens. Any hints greatly appreciated.
