.... my lens is the C-Biogon with a coding kit ...... i need someone to help me fix the 40mm. I want it to show the 35mm brightlines........

The Zeiss has a groove in it's mounting flange and is easy to code; you don't need a coding kit ---- save your money. You could use Bo Lorentzen's solution :

Here's how to modify the 40mm :

I didn't know that about the Zeiss mount but i still need the kit to code my 40mm lens and 50mm f2.
thanks for the 40mm link! i will make the modification and post back! :)

anyone kind enough to help a newb?

I click on the template and print it out and it's HUGE! am i missing something? I don't have a lens in front of me but i don't see how the template will sit on the back of my lens mount?

Biogon and coding kit order placed just now.

I am sure you will enjoy, I personally love my C-Biogon.

Another (a bit belated to think over but still there) point:
As long as you keep the Planar and the Nokton, a dedicated Hood (Voigtlaender LH-6 or Zeiss 35/50) will fit on all three lenses. Just in case you use hoods.
