Hey all, I recently came across an article on a photographer who had rigged up a new system to his camera that recorded both video and photos simultaneous. So you can see what he was seeing as he photographed. I believe he was a war photographer.
I'm not sure. He seemed pretty young... i just remember seeing a video of him working with his baseball cap on and his camera with a small video lens taped to the top.
This was a recent video too.

Real Men Shoot Film.
I agree that James Natchwey was probably the one the original poster saw. I have seen his dicumentary too, it is called "War Photographer" and it is available through Netflix in the USA. It might be on Youtube, I haven't looked.

No its not Natchwey. He's too old to be the same person.
The photographer was much younger. Probably in his late 20s early 30s..
I cannot explain it but I have the James Natchwey documentary and it is definately not natchwey or his documentary.
Natchwey's documentary is about Natchwey himself, whereas the video in question is all ab out the event and happening infront of him.

Definately not it.
Damnit i wish i could remember where I saw this at. At first I thought it was on wired.com
Maybe digg.com as well... but i cant remember.
I do remember that the headline about the work related something along the lines to 'photojournalist makes innovative use of video and photography' something along those lines.
Man if i can find this i will be so happy...
