Hello again. Im going to try another stupid project, which is taking the lens from a yashica gsn and do the monkey thing with it and then stick it on the end of a ltm-m mount adapter so it will go on the end of an m mount camera.
Things that need to be done:
Get the lens off the gsn without breaking it
Figure out the distance that is needed from the rear element to the film plane
Figure out how to jam the shutter open on the lens (electronic copal shutter)
Figure out how to mount the lens to the adapter and avoid light leaks
If and when I need to, how to shim the lens
Figure out how to center the lens on the adapter correctly
A little brainstorming here, anyone else have any other thoughts about things I need to do, keep in mind, or anything?
I dont have a lathe or any other tools per say besides a couple jig saws, screw drivers, and whatnot, but im almost positive I can do this given my past success with mucking about.
