It kind of looks like the Microsoft Windows emblem, no? I would switch to a Mac and that might solve it
Seriously, it has a very distinct shape and I would guess that it has to do with the shutter.

it has to be the shutter - but i dont know what kind of problem is that - if the second curtain is slower or bouncing - it would be one vertical band or uneven exposure.
i had something like that on my old zenit - when curtains werent tight enough when winding it so a bit of light can slip between them - but on zenit i could clearly see that gap with lamp - and here i cant...
