Good afternoon everyone,
I am a new member and I just bought this lens AllFotar 105mm 1:2.5 Exakta mount. And I don't know anything about this lens. it has around 16 blades and it is intriguing for me. It has two rings to control the aperture and a focus ring.
I would appreciate it if you could give me more information or direct me to someone who knows more about it.

I don't know much about your lens, but the two aperture rings indicate that it is a preset lens. This means that the camera will not stop down the diaphragm as any DSLR or modern SLR will, so you have to remember to turn one of the rings to stop down the lens prior to taking your picture. The second ring allows you to select your f/stop in advance so that you don't have to look at the lens to stop it down to the correct aperture.

If you have an Exakta camera, best suggestion would be to try it. It could be a nice portrait lens.

I think Allfotar was a retailer's brand.

Dixons in the UK sold a lot of stuff under the Prinz brand name, often rebadged Zenit gear. I don't think this is one of theirs, I think Exakta predates them, but the name does sound like an own-brand.

I just bought the adapter for my Fuji it is amazing so far. Will share the result with some photos later.
