So I have mostly used fixed lens RFs, have a yashica lynx 14E, which I love. I use my girlfriends M6 from time to time, but I find that I'm somewhat to careful with it, usually tuck in to the bag with a lot of padding, and I don't shoot as much with it as I do with my cheaper fixed lens RFs. (Also have a few MF cameras and a DSLR, but that's beside the point here.. Didn't come here to brag, haha)

I also have a hexar AF which I absolutely loved when I got it. However, I don't use it as often as I should, and I have started to think that I want to trade it for a Bessa 2 or 3 body. A or M doesn't matter so much. I'm afraid I will miss it if I trade it, but what good does it do on the shelf? Hmm. I feel as it takes out the decision making part of photography. Yes it's fast and everything, but I really like putting the focus where I like it and so on.

Can anybody talk some sense to me? What should I do? What body would you prefer? What CV lens would give me the closest look to 50 cron'? Which 35 mm do you all prefer?

(Sorry if it seems I'm making a plug for my trade ad, I'm not really, I just got a bad case of GAS and need some help on deciding, mainly deciding for which body, and which glass I should aim for. Thanks.)

I had the same experience as you,
i really like hexar af, use it for almost 3 years. I like all result came from hexar af, the lens is Always give me great result (i really like 35mm), it's silent mode, fast & acurate focus (even in darkness).
But then, came an offer of hexar RF from my friend, as I want to nail focus manually, i took the deal and let hexar af go..
Bad move!!
Hexar RF give me what i want (an upgrade of hexar af, i believe), but i miss the lens of HAF.
Really, the HAF LENS is worth the money you paid for your HAF. In M mount, you'll pay wayyyy more money to get the same quality (imho).
The next thing i miss is spotmeter in M mode, if you really take care of metering, having spotmeter is better. I rarely found that my HAF miss the exposure, as the spotmeter always locks on object I focus.
But just my opinion.
If you want just an interchangeable camera you can bang along, try a zorki/barnack/canon ltm RF. Bessa will give you more clap&snap than a leica, way more than your HAF

Thanks, I guess. What do you mean with clap&snap? I also like the look and feel of the photos taken with the Hexar AF lens. Maybe I will miss it. Hmm, I will have to think this over I think. Anymore opinions?

Sold the hexar on here. Just won an auction for a R2 with trigger winder. Will buy a jupiter-8 for starters, and use my GFs 'crons while I wait for it to arrive (or that's what I told her at least..).
