Need to replace my go to neopan 1600 in preparation for when my camera store runs out.
I need a film around 1600 - usually shoot f/2 @1/15 handheld developed in xtol.
Push tri-x, HP5 ?
Pull delta 3200 ?

Don't pull Delta- it's true speed is about 1200. My best results with any film exposed at 1600 have been from pushing Tri-X and pushing in either Microphen (use it full strength, not diluted!) or in HC-110, split. HP5 pushes to 1600 pretty well, too.

I've seen some great stuff from pushed Tri-X, I'd vote for that, it's what I'm doing now that I shot my last roll of 1600.
Or this if you really want it.....

Neopan 400 pushed to 1600 looks almost as good as Neopan 1600 @ 1600 and much better than Tri-X for sure.

Thanks, I actually send all of my film to NCPS and when I asked their owner, Richard, what developer they used he replied, "Clayton Chemistry F76 which we believe is a derivative of D76." I have been very happy with all of their developing including the B&W I send them. From time to time I black out my bathroom to develop a few rolls, but they do a better job and are as cheap as dirt. I'm assuming they are using development times off of the Massive Dev Chart like everyone else.E,

Great Neopan 400 shots. This gives me confidence in the Neopan family as the 1600 speed film was one of my preferred for wedding photography.

Johan,
I did a roll of LP 400 at 1600 a while back. Shooting owls at night...
12 mins in HC-110, dil B at 20 degrees C, 30 seconds of agitation for the first minute, 5 seconds every minute after.
right off the massive dev chart.
here are a few examples. the scans aren't the greatest...

I'm hoarding my last few rolls of 135 Neopan 1600 and 400 ISO 120 size.
