Help guys. I have a leica with serial no.504710. It looks like a IIIF. but IIIF started with serial no.525001 ( based on my research.). I have the complete set. The body, lens 5cm f/2 & Hektor 13.5cm f/2.5 plus the original 135mm finder. Do you know how much would this cost? I

its something like this, but its not the actual:

You could send Leica cameras back for upgrades to newer models. In this case, a IIIc was upgraded to a IIIf by adding flash synchronization (extra dial around shutter speed, and connector on back). You could also upgrade an early camera without a rangefinder to add a rangefinder.

This was not only generous to customers, it was also a way to dodge the high excise taxes on cameras in the US in that era. The upgrade was a "repair", and there was no excise tax on repairs.

If this is a IIIc to IIIf upgrade done by Leitz (likely) the flash synch delay numbers will be on a small separate plate secured by a couple of screws to the camera top by the shutter speed dial. A camera which was manufactured as a IIIf (red or black dial) has no such plate and the delay numbers are engraved directly in the camera top plate.

#504710 relates to a Leica IIIc manufactured in 1950.

Yes it will look very much like the one you have shown.

#604509, the one in your photo, I assume, would be a 1951/52 IIIf.

The value of your camera can vary considerably, depending on functionality. Compare it to similar cameras, either on this forum or on eB*y, for a rough idea of its value.😉
