help! please pick 8 out of 15.

3, 5,10,11. This are great, without doubt i would call them classics in my book.
Additional 2 that I find very good:
2, 9.

Can't see that we are giving you a great deal of help probably because we see photos within our own context and experience. Street photography - do we all define it the same - no!
1,2,4,8,13,14,16
Looking through I thought some could appear to be posed and so didn't really qualify - good photos that I wish I had taken though. And is 3 really a street photo - where is the street? Again great photo but does it satisfy your criteria?

thank you all, I think this is helping. a bit at least!

none of these are posed. what makes you think that?
and I don't think you need a street in a 'street' shot. street photography is just a bit of a misleading term, really.
cheers.

To my mind some are more unique than others, the newspaper and billowing coat, the cats tail, and the women on the bus, are all nice photos and have more personality to them than some of the others. Images that utilise the eyes of an advertising poster such as number 1 has been done to death, it's one of the triggers that street photographers use too often in my mind. Likewise the woman on the phone and the pointing fingers, they've all become a bit derivative, they're not bad images per say, and I don't imagine they're that easy to find, but you're other images are stronger for not being so identifiable. They're all very good by the way, I don't mean to be critical, just think it;s more useful to explain my reasoning.....R

It was easy for me.

5,6,9,11,14 are the strongest.

Then 7,2,1 bringing up the rear.

16 is a cool 'Flickr' shot, but doesn't fit with the above eight.

Wow, these are really great. I always find this process difficult.

My top choices would be 1 3 4 5 6 12 13 14.

It is on the street, not of the street!!
(I agree with you)

There is an Asymmetric Symmetry about this set that is uncanny.

Very well done. They are all good.
