Can anyone provide me with any advice on how to replace the advance lever on my M7?

I would need to know how to disassemble/reassemble the lever housing, and where I could find a replacement lever - I'm looking for a black all-metal (M3/2/P style) lever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! My googling hasn't yielding very many helpful results.

Thanks!

You can buy the advance lever from DAG (HERE). You will also need a 5/8 flexiclamp (you can buy one HERE). Once you have this tool, replacing the advance lever takes all of 30 seconds.

I just had this done to one of my M7's by Gerry Smith- he said there was some machining required to the MP style arm to get it to fit on the M7- I assume the opening is different in some way.

PM sent.

It wasn't cheap. The lever was forever in getting to Canada from Leica too, I started the process in March. Thankfully Gerry turned it around in a matter of a week, and as usual no complaints at all with his work. Impeccable.
