Hi, need a quick check on those who have used the above.

I came across some unopened stock expiring in two months. Can it still be used past the expiry? How long? It has been well-stored in air-con environment.

In general, if film or paper developer are not opened, they can be used for some time past their expiry?

Thanks!

Powder stock? You may not want to buy a lot to use as a main soup for the next few years, but the powder should be good for a little while longer. Once mixed into a stock solution I have used batches, one off, for 2-3 months if it lasts that long.

I have about a dozen packs of 1 gallon size D-76 powder I acquired 20 years ago (Summer 1985). I mixed up some a few months ago and am just finishing it up now. It diluted almost perfectly clear (normal) and works just fine.

A half-dozen packs of Microdol-X I had been hoarding for the same period of time turned out dark drown when diluted. I tossed it out.
