Help to choose glases for my daughter

My daughter is 9. Doctors say she should read and write in glases. Were in some optics today.. The problem is - she looks strange to me in any of these things.. Just can't choose which one to take. I even have to choose 2 of them (one - spare).
There are numbers on photos. So, please, vote for the ones you like. Both me and she will be very thankful for you.

Wrong people to ask imho. Ask other 9yo or counter staff in opticians. You want what's in right now. You and she will get used to the look of them but you want her friends to think they are cool.

What is her opinion? That's all that matters. For me the choice is (1) but it's all down to her self confidence. If she's confident enough to pose for those pics she could get away with anything. It's like the passing-out test for the Monks of Cool: "What's the coolest thing here?" The correct reply is "Whatever I choose".

Which ones does she like? Those are the ones you agree with her that look great.
What ever she gets, her friends will accept and no matter which frames she gets, the unkind kids she knows will tease her about.
So, as Roger said, it is down to her confidence.
She is a pretty girl and none of the choices are bad but were it up to me, I'd choose the first one.
And, to keep things a bit simpler, the spare set would be another of the same.
I have worn glasses since I was four so I had them all through school. Most people I knew didn't care/notice what I wore. There was a bit of teasing but that was from the same two or three knuckleheads. So, after a very short time, I was able to ignore them.

Well, I guess most of us are guys, so, I doubt we're the people to decide. However, if she is gonna were that shirt forever, #3 is the best color match. Doesn't she have a preference?

If I need to make the choice, get #1 and get #3 as a spare for those times she is dressed in something pink! 😎

OK, just asked my 10 year old daughter. She preferred 2 or 8. With 2 being preferred. In the end, I would probably let her choose. Whichever ones make her happy and will make her feel better about wearing glasses overall will be the best bet.

1, 6, 8, maybe 10. But I find it strange that the people in the shop weren't able to help you out of that problem. Were I go they see before I look in the mirror that it won't work. Very knowledgable in style, far better than I am.

Further thought: her expression varies with the different frames. How much difference does this make?

Recently I was arguing with my daughter (nothing that any other father has ever experienced, I am sure). She said that she didn't like it when someone (i.e. me) said she was beautiful when she wasn't. Then her boyfriend explained that even with quite ordinary looks (and both boyfriend and I reassured her she was rather ahead on that), anyone can be beautiful when they are animated, confident, lively and enthusiastic. Suddenly she understood...

It'll probably be a while before the young lady in the pictures has a boyfriend (though it'll happen sooner than you can imagine, and he'll never be good enough for her, because nobody could be -- another viewpoint I am sure no other fathers share) but it's still worth explaining to her what "beautiful" means, courtesy of my daughter's boyfriend.
