Hello, I recently got an offer for a black zm body at good price. But I'm concerned about the uneven yellow tint when looking through the finder. The tint appears across the upper and lower parts of the angled cemented sides of the prism. Could this be a sign of separation? Anyone has experience with this? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks

Looks normal to me, but the camera is missing the eyepiece.

Thank you Jon. You're right the eyepiece is gone:). So I assume you saw something similar on your samples. I was confused I didn't recall seeing that yellow on other zm body not even bessas. The edge of the cemented sides look clean though.

The answer from Zeiss..."after checking it, we found that it must be caused by deviations in the manufacturing of the beam splitter (thickness of the multiple layers cannot be contolled perfectly). So when looking through the viewfinder under a certain angle, this yellowish cast might appear.
This does not play any role in practical use, and it is nothing you would have to worry about."
