Hello folks,
I just bought an Amedeo adapter that allows mounting of Contax rangefinder lenses on Sony E/NEX bodies.
I have Carl Zeiss lenses with internal and external mounts (Biogon 35, Sonnar 50 1.5 and Sonnar 85), which are all supposedly usable with this adapter. But I'm having trouble mounting the lenses, especially the Biogon and Sonnar. I'm pretty sure the fault is mine, as I'm not starting with the lens and adapter helicoid in the correct position.
I'd be very grateful if people who use these adapters could share any information/instructions/images about how to mount these lenses.
Thank you very much,
Raj

The 50mm is a internal mount lens - align the protruding (originally also red marked) tab on the lens and the red mark on the lock spring and twist the lens until the tab locks into the recess on the far end of the spring.

The others are external mount - on a Contax, you would have to set both lens and adapter to infinity, align the red dots on the lens collar and outer mount, insert, and twist the lens collar until the catch locks in. On digital adapters infinity alignment may be superfluous as these do not couple to a rangefinder (but I do not know whether the Amedeo adapter shares parts with his RF adapters, where it is needed).

Be aware that Amedeo also made internal mount only adapters, and sold custom adapters which may have yet other features - if you bought second hand and one lens type will not fit, verify that the one you have is actually the current model that will hold both lens types.
