I just picked up another working Electro 35 at a yard sale but as you can see in the photo it is missing the battery check button assembly.
If you can help me find this part with the 2 screws I would appreciate it very much.

Also both my Electro 35's still have their original mercury batteries. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to buy a couple of Yashica-guys adapters to replace these batteries with now and what battery would fit the adapters?

Colyn,

How many to buy depends on how many cameras you want to use. I bought one & now see what it might take to make a similar adapter myself. Regardless, YG's adapter comes w/ the battery you need. He even asks which Yashica you need a battery for during the ordering process. I can't recommend at least one for most any Yashica owner enough.

Thanks
I'll let him know which models I have upon ordering.

YG has a big problem right now w/ the recent flooding in the NE USA--according to his son. If you need adapters/ batteries ASAP go to Kanto or C.R.I.S.

Since the original mercury batteries in both cameras are still good, I'll wait and get them from yashica_guy.
