That reminds me: we have a collector here in Minsk owning in excess of 1500 cameras. Hope to have a look at his private museum this weekend :)
 
It looks like a VisoFlex attached to the Leica M. Usueally you see them with the eyepiece attached to it. I suspect that is the focussing screen. Easier to use an SLR. Canon, Nikon, Contax, and a few others also made Viso-Flex devices to turn RF cameras into SLR's.
 
Just found this thread. I'll add some information.

Mr. Surat Osathanugrah is a photographer and a camera collector with more than 3,000 camera in his collection (may be top 3 Leica collector). He graduated from University of Colorado and was a top excutive, major share holder of Osotspa, founder of Bangkok University and a successful business man rank No. 24 richest man in Thailand report by Fobs in 2007. After successful in business he decided to resigned and go for photography.

He passed away on May, 2008.

Could be his collection is currently being sold. It looks somewhat like a museum and store based on one person wearing the tie and calculator on the table

Just need one person who can translate

I just stumbled upon this thread......

Surat Osathanugrah is a legend around here.....many Thai photographers mention him to me...

my gf just translated it for me......it is not a store, it is a room in his house and nothing is for sale.....

Sometimes when I go into the better camera stores in town and I ask to see a certain camera, they will tell me that it is not for sale.....it belongs to a collector and the shop is just "displaying" it......I know, it sounds strange.....but it just happened to me yesterday again when I asked about a Nikon fm2 T.......

One of the guys who used to do my Black and White printing (before I got a darkroom) used to print a lot for Surat, and after one big printing job that he did for him, Surat asked him how much he owes him, and the printer asked if he could trade the prints for his 35mm Summicron v4 lens...and Surat said yes....I can still remember how happy the printer was when he told me that story......he said that he will ever sell that lens....

He seemed like a cool guy, wish I could of met him......

Just think how brain twisting it might be if you were told once entering into the room of that collection, you could pick out any one item to keep, but were given only 10 sec. to decide!:)

Michael, Mr. Surat is a smart, cool guy. I like the way he think that seem to be advance than many other people. Another thing, He came to photography at 70 something and got many successful. (I'm not sure I can take a photo at that age) The vanishing Bangkok is his first published which were out of stock already.

I've visit his camera room 2-3 times that's much more than the first link in the thread. Even the sought after Leica which have only a few pieces also in his collection (Check his web on Camera link).

Mr. Surat also introduced street photography to widely attention of Thai people including me too.
