Thanks for putting these up. I've always wanted a 'sticky' to these posts. But this is a gear and and now a digital forum, so chances are that won't happen.

Don't get me wrong I still like it here, but there are not as many posts that I'm interested in, in the last year.

Ranchu - was there any mention of the agitation routine for these recommended times?

No, I'm so sorry, that's all of it. That's clearly the missing link here, I would assume 'normal' agitation since it wasn't mentioned, but I don't know for certain. It's from here- Current 35mm Practice William L. Broecker; Editor Published by Morgan & Morgan, Inc., Dobbs Ferry, New York, 1975

I just shot, by accident, some Tmax400 at EI 50. Yikes, I reduced the development by 10% and then another 10%. Actually, the negatives didn't look to bad, (and this is Tmax). I'll post a few soon, this is my kind of post, thanks for posting this.

Where did you get those charts. The different lighting conditions development is really helpful. I wish they had this for other developers, but I suppose you could come close if you were clever. My 50 EI mistake worked out. But then they were scanned so you can cover many errors with levels and curves. Although, I didn't really have to resort to tricks:

Thanks for this. Actually I just shot a roll of APX100 today that I'm going to develop in Rodinal 1+50 tomorrow. Seems as if my usual 15 minutes for normal contrast situations correspond to these charts.

@charjohncarter: I absolutely agree - there should be more threads like this instead of at least 5 for each new rumour of the newest digital thing or the umpteenth 'I want a Leica - should I buy an M3, M6 or a new watch' threads. Your EI-50 mistake doesn't look like a mistake at all FWIW.

Thanks for the post. Interesting how light conditions and dilutions are mixed in the tables.

My last Rodinal use (Rollei Retro 100, Rodinal 1:50, 20 degrees C, 14', invert every minute, 9am in Sunny SF, at box speed) fits quite well too. See http://ferider.smugmug.com/Picture-a-Week/2013/0613-B and this as my favorite shot of that day. Not much PS leveling was needed, histogram was nice and broad.

And here for the dark tones:

I read that once before, but I just bookmarked it to read again. Thanks for putting it up.

Also in the news. The sky has fallen: my Costco has discontinued C-41 35mm processing.

If my Algebra comes back to me I'm going to do a chart like the OP's for HC-110h. It is a linear developer, but extrapolation from the Rodinal should be close enough even though I understand that Rodinal is not a linear developer. The dilution changes are not much between usable EIs so this should work.

Chris - thanks for the link to that other thread on Rodinal (and the links within it). I had been reading it earlier. Do you know if Rodinal, or something like it, is available from a vendor in Australia?
