Hewes Developing Reels for 127 Film -New!

Mine came today! Delivered to my workplace by USPS. Thanks to Dave for setting up this group buy!

Figured I'd press them right into service... Awhile back, I bought an old box of exposed, long-expired mostly-127 film. So tonight I loaded up two rolls of Kodacolor-X onto the new reels. I must say, these load easier than the Nikor original! If you've ever loaded a Hewes 120 reel, this one will be very familiar. The Hewes design keeps the film centered perfectly as it goes onto the spiral, whereas the Nikor has the potential for spooling crooked and thus must be checked carefully (in the dark of course) to be sure the film is straight. So so far so good! Awesome Hewes quality as always.
 
My two reels have not arrived yet, but our local post office isn’t exactly trying to break any speed records so I’m not worried. They’ll show up sooner or later.

If anyone wants to head up a second group purchase, please volunteer and I will give you all the information you need to make a successful purchase from Nigel at Hewes Products... he informed me today that he has 26 reels left at a bit of an increase in price.

Well... almost. 🙂 Still waiting for mine. I think it is sitting at the local post office, they didn't attempt delivery yesterday due to the blizzard.

Sorry about that... I presume you are at home during the blizzard? It's a shame you can't develop some film while the weather rages outside! Take care in that stuff... warm weather is not far behind.:angel:

I hope you are thoroughly enjoying yourself. And, yes, the USPS tracking notice says that it lies frigid in the cold P. O. Box in Vermont.😛
