is the m-hexanon 28 rarer than the rest like the50/90/35?

any information on the total produced quantities of the M-hexs?

i read somewhere that it was the highest priced when released, does it compare well to the leica elmarit E46? (which I had tested once and was blown away by its quality)

I m considering trading some stuff and was offered a m-hex-28. so it would be helpful to get an idea of the actual market price.

I've wondered about this myself -- as well as wondering how many of the Hexar cameras were made also. The 28 came out at the same time as the camera and the 50 and 90, so I'd bet it's about the same production quantity, at least the same as the 90. My guess is that the 35 is smaller production, and the 20/35 is rarest of all.

Seems like the 28 is running $800-$900 these days, maybe higher. Make sure you get the hood with it at least.

I have heard that the 28mm E46 Elmarit-M is on par with the 28mm Hexanon-M. I haven't tried them side-by-side, but I was blown away by the 28mm when I shot it on my GXR, and later on film.

Every Hexanon I've tried has been a great lens, but sometimes they need to be adjusted to focus properly on an M body. It's worth the investment to get these things properly tuned up, I think.

Last I checked, DAG was adjusting them for $45 ~ 60, last year.

If you can get one for under $650, buy it. It should hold its value!

No hood, and used, but as a result this one is cheap. No relation to seller. Don't have the cash to spend on it, or I would pick it up and flip it at a profit.

EDIT: Same seller is also selling a 50/2.0 for EUR 380. Again, used and incomplete, but it ain't expensive!

traded my nex7 for a mint hexar rf + 28 w hood, box and flash, how did I do? the nex while one of the best digitals ever technically, for some strange reason didn't connect with me, i feel the same with all those new digitals like om-d, xpro, no connection,

cameras like the E-1, L-1, ord D700 were/are different, and connected with me, or is it just me?

I sold mine recently for £400 on ebay and bought a 28mm elmarit-m ASPH. Not because of any optical shortcomings, but because the ASPH is smaller, lighter and has the focus tab.

I bought the 28mm Elmarit-M ASPH for this reason. And because DAG has had my 28, 35, 50 and 90 lenses since last May. :bang:

Just think about having a body CLA'd by DAG and then having it recovered by cameraleather.com straight after that. :p

but I have to admit that he did a wonderful job with the 90.
It focused perfectly fine afterwards and felt like new.

Sure, no question about that. But nevertheless sometimes I wonder what is it with some camera repairmen/shops that
makes them *totally* slip the schedules on a frequent basis. Yes, we have at least one of them in Helsinki, too. Very skilled
but a calendar is a strange thing for them. :)

Sorry for the OT by the way.
