Advice please:

Would you opt for a suposedly mint Konica Hexanon 28/2.8 with box and all contents for a total all-in price of $750.

or

a new Zeiss Biogon 28/2.8 all-inprice of about $1060 (shade included).

Thanks,

John

The Biogon seems overpriced as Tony Rose is selling them for $876 new. The hood costs somewhere in the vicinity of $65 new.

I've had both and I kept the Biogon and sold the Hexanon. I enjoy the results of the Biogon more, as they are somewhat consistent with the results I get from the 50mm Sonnar.
The Hexanon seems to have the better build quality though. By the way, you can easily fix a Leica square hood on the Hexanon. It would just be push on, but with a thin layer of electrical tape it stays on absolutely secure.
