Hi all,
I have been really tempted to buy the 35/2 hexanon UC lens that everybody raves about (I used to own a AF hexar and loved the photos the camera produced - hated the lack of manual focusing though). The only thing that is holding me back is the focusing tab - I'm not too partial to them. I noticed that konica did make a previous version of this lens w/ a regular focusing ring. Does anybody here own/use the older chrome version? Can you comment on the handling/picture quality (is it the same lens as the UC - just a different barrel?)? Looking at pictures on the web of this model it seems like it has the potential to be an ergonomic nightmare (small focus ring w/ the aperture ring crammed right next to it - seems like if a hood was used the aperture ring would be really hard to use). Any comments regarding first hand experience of the handling of this lens would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
