Hexanon lenses on Leicas

I have read in the past--just where, I cannot now remember--that there is a compatibility problem with Hexanon lenses mounted on Leicas, something having to do with tiny differences in the back focus distance.

If there are any readers who can point me to more information on this subject, I would be grateful.
