Hexar AF counter re-set

Just bought a Hexar Af and discovered the film counter re-sets to 0 occasionally. (Twice in 3 films so far). I've read through a Hexar RF thread about a similar issue. Is the fix the same for the AF? A little drop of switch cleaner somewhere on a switch between the body and the door? Does anyone else suffer from this?

I have a mint Hexar AF Silver Edition, modded with silent mode, and never had this problem.. :\

Just a thought; are you sure it's the frame counter that's reset? If you press select in P-mode, you toggle between frame counter and exposure compensation on the standard Hexar. If you've got bracketing enabled, pressing select in M-Mode toggles between frame counter and bracketing stops..

Thanks for your reply- it does seem to be the counter re-setting itself. It got to 7 then reset. When I processed the film it had a gap of 3-4 frames at the reset point. I read up as much as I could last night & seems a few people have had this, certainly on the RF model.
