Guys,
When I see instructions (http://photo.net/equipment/point-and-shoot/konica-hexar) on how to switch on a silent mode on silver Hexar AF, does it apply when there is no film inside the camera, or it does not matter?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Each time you power the camera on, you have the choice to go silent or not. Hold down the manual focus button while powering on, you are in silent mode, power on with no buttons held down, you are in normal mode.

Alex, You have to program silent mode on your Hexar Silver one time using the instructions in this thread on the same site you mentioned: Patrick Van Den Hurk December 14, 2003; 05:28 P.M.
After that, you turn on silent mode by turning the camera on while holding down the MF button. Silent mode cancels when you turn off, but it stays on if the camera does an auto power off - you have to go to the off button. Works with or without film in camera, but you probably want to have no film loaded for the programming part.
Great camera!
