Andrew: Tp put last things first, that's a real Domke 803 (canvas), while at a wedding shoot over a year and a half ago. Well worn-in, but not worn-out.
One thing I noticed about the Hexar's flash shoe is that I see no sign of physical flexing, even with the SB-20 mounted on it. Then, too, the top plate, like the botttom and sides, is titanium, so that might be a factor. But as I said, the SB-20 is about the biggest flash I'd feel comfy sliding into the HRF's shoe (or any other camera's, for that matter). I also have the Konica flash that came with one of my HRFs (the kit); I sometiems ust it to trigger the SB-20 off-camera with a Wein slave unit clipped to it, but it comes in real handy on its own for impromptu flash work.
