hexar RF 28mm frameline?

Hi all, I recently acquired a used Hexar RF and one thing I just noticed when I mount the CV28/2: the 28mm is not a complete rectangle. (the vertical line on each side is not symmetric).
is it normal?
I don't think this will affect functioning in anyway but want to make sure.

Fond of my two, too. Now I'm back from an extended (non-photographic) assignment I might get to use them more often 😀
