Hexar RF auction - potential scam?

I bid on the first one, after sending a message about collecting and paying in person (the seller is based in Zurich). The seller replied that would be acceptable, so I put in a bid, but didn't win. No idea what's going on with the second one.

Only once did I buy from someone with zero feedback: two rolls of Scala film.

Also, when I got my very first feedback, I let the seller know I was brand new at this. He was very understanding.

Now... I'm on my way to 60 comments, 100 % positive! 🙂

Yet... on a pricy item like this, if I'm interested, I would ask a lot of questions first. If the seller seems knowledgeable, or reliable, I'd try purchase the item.

treat this like a hostage situation. get them to send you a pic of the camera holding the day's newspaper.

I did that once on an equipment inventory, for an old computer that I had accounted for but got the Nastygram back of "you are responsible for this, where is it". I used a Polaroid SLR690 to take a picture of it with the current newspaper. The Division Head knows I can fake a digital image, but believed the Polaroid. The inventory control people were very embarrassed.
