I've had a Hexar RF for a few years now, and it is time for a cla. So I searched here and found two places that were reccommended. Greg Weber in Nebraska, and Nippon Photo Clinic in NYC.
Greg Weber told me he no longer works on them as parts are scarce--Mine only needs a cla, I told him, but have yet to hear back.
Casey at Nippon told me that he COULD do a cla, but if the camera needed parts, he couldn't fix it--same reason--scarce parts.
Since I am reasonably sure that I won't need parts--the camera was working fine all along--I sent it in.
Bottom line--
Nippon Photo Clinic CAN do a CLA on a Hexar RF.

Nippon has a good rep; I've had various cameras serviced there in the past. My Hexars are good for now, but they'll be sent there if/when something's up.
Which reminds me...I'll shortly be attempting to rattle a few bars at Sony about the parts deal, since there likely are spares – someplace – and that, in the States at least, they're required to keep this stuff on hand for seven years or so after a product's being discontinued (depending on who you ask, the Hexar RF's clock started running sometime during 2004). Yes, I know, uphill work, etc., but I'm rather determined in this particular case.
(Edit: if what's needed is a "simple" CLA, meaning the VF/RF, anyone who competently knows their way around a Leica should be able to handle an HRF)

try the konica-minolta service centre in chatswood, sydney!

Good luck. Back when I was trying to get my Minolta Scan Multi Pro fixed, I attempted to persuade them to carry parts for servicing the Minolta film scanners, or in the alternative, to give me an official explanation of why getting those parts (which apparently do exist in Japan) in the U.S. was so difficult, & was entirely unsuccessful on both fronts. From talking to the Konica-Minolta service people, it seems that Sony acquired Konica-Minolta solely to gain access to their digital camera technology & has completely written off supporting any of the legacy film products. Sony did give me a generous "buyback" payment for my broken scanner (enough to purchase a used replacement off eBay).

Well, The Hexar is back and perfectly aligned. I was actually in NYC this past week for work. One day, my client cancelled our afternoon meeting, and I had a free day to wander around the city. It was close to 80 degrees, and the streets were filled. I decided to take in the HCB exhibit at the ICP--fantastic show--the other exhibits were very interesting too. Anyway I then decided to walk to Adorama to get some supplies to take home. As I left the shop, my cell rang; it was Casey at Nippon Photoclinic. He told me that my Hexar was ready, and he could ship it to me. I told him I happened to be in the city, and asked where he was located to see if it made sense to go pick it up myself. When he told me where--I was about 4 blocks away! I arrived at his shop five minutes later, picked up my Hexar, and had a nice chat with the gentleman. What a serendipitous day. Great show, lots of great subjects to snap away at on my journey, got some small items I needed at adorama, AND got my freshly cleaned Hexar RF back! I LOVE NY!
ALSO-- Casey believes that the Sony warehouse in Texas is where the Hexar RF spare parts are located--he says they are lost in this warehouse. Sony please find them!

Great news! I was concerned if Greg Weber didn't work on them, but it sounds like Nippon is an excellent alternative. Do you have their contact information?
(And if there is a God, Sony will find those spare parts and pass them on to a worthy repair facility!)

I don't recall the e-mail, but they have a website--do an internet search for: Nippon Photo Clinic/ NYC--It was less than two weeks from the time I sent it to the time I picked it up--Highly reccomended.
