Hexar RF focuses past infinity

I have all the necessary fine tools, and I've successfully taken apart cameras and car engines before (and got them to work again), but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar story.

Edit: I think I'll give it another chance tomorrow. The close focusing at minimum distance (.7m) with both a 50mm f2 Planar and a 28mm CV Ultron seem to be bang-on accurate. And even though the infinite focus seemed to be way off vertically and horizontally, I can see now at middle distance interior views that the position of my eye relative to the viewfinder makes a considerable difference.

I've read that infinity should be tested with something at least a mile away. But finding a nice black monolith against the snow might be difficult. Wouldn't something at several hundred yards give a good indication?

Phew! Had a look at the moon in the wee hours, and although my eye position greatly affects alignment (I don't recall anything so drastic with any of my other rangefinders), everything seems to be in the ball-park. So, to celebrate, I bought her a Mr. Zhou half-case.

Hi, I have bought my hexar some month ago for 400 Euros. I have found some problems in focusing at infinity. In my case the problem is different from yours, infact I never see the two images perfectly superimposed focusing on an object placed at infinity. I observe this problem with both my lenses: voigtlander 35 f1.2 and Konika 50 f2.
To superimpse the two images it seems that I need to rotate further the focus ring but I can't beacause I reach the rotation limit.

I don't know what to do, have you some advices?

Use the approach in the linked website above. You will need to adjust horizontal and then correct the vertical which will move as well when correcting horizontal. Can be done with jewelers screwdrivers through the rubber insert on the top.
