How can I get a replacement lever for the Hexar RF that is on the front of the camera? It is for selecting the Vf frame?

How can I get a replacement selftimer switch for the Hexar RF?

Do you mean the outside OFF/S/C/Timer switch around the shutter button? What exactly did happen inside the top plate? Are there broken parts around? Or is it more an electronic problem?

When I got the camera, the screw holding the Frameline preview lever on the front of the camera level was missing, so I used a screw from an old pair of sunglasses. Somehow, the screw fell off again, and the lever vanished with it. Nothing else is messed up. I am assuming that the lost black lever was for a self timer, but it could be for selecting a frame.

Thanks for the tip on contacting Greg Weber. I sent him an email.

I was wrong; it is the lever for selecting a frame. Do I even need it?

Hi Raid,

If you get another replacement screw just apply some, partially dry, clear nail polish to the threads.

Happy Holidays,
Robert

Raid,

If you can't find one perhaps you could adapt a Leica-m lever, or local machinist could make you one out of aluminum (at a reasonable price)..

Robert

Robert,
I asked Greg Weber for a suggestion (like yours) if he does not have such a lever and screw. It should be feasible since nothing special seems to be included in such a fix.
