Hexar RF Users?

I have 1 & while it has its quirks, I like it just fine (no backfocus issues, etc.). Because of its low-mag VF, it's my main wide-angle M-mount body. I guess most owners on this site post under the Leica M forum.

Yes - that was my main excuse for getting it; guessing the framing for 28mm was working ok with the R2 but...

Now I've realised what a nice handful it is as well I might part with some other things though. It's kind of like a big manual focus GR1 that takes all my favourite lenses. Perfect!

1 of the reasons I like the Hexar RF is because it's built on the same chassis as the Kyocera Contax G2. I only wish they had carried over the G2's switch-based exposure lock option & the ability to use custom features.

I am shooting my first roll with mine. I seem to want to shoot film even though I have a DSLR. I think there is a need for professional help for folks like myself. We know the digital world is encroaching, we slip over frequently, but want to return to the analog world more and more. PLEASE help.

i might join the ranks soon. waiting to see if the 28mm framelines on the zeiss ikon are visible, then i'll make my decision. sorta hoping konica minolta will make an hrf2 with several improvements. mainly silent film advance mode, less shutter lag, and ae lock in continuous mode. it's a long shot, but i'd drool over switchable .6/1:1 viewfinder mag. nice to have are ttl flash and sync speed at 1/250.

anyhow, it's a pretty camera, and quite a bargain considering features and build quality.

I've got the limited edition version of the camera and absolutely love it.
I like to think that I liberated it from some collector type who would have just left it in a case.

All these improvements would be good... On the other hand, if I had one camera that could do everything I wouldn't have an excuse for having so many... At least in this less than ideal world I use them all for different things - I don't like to think of myself as some collector type either 🙂

having a camera that could do everything was sort of the reason i wanted a leica. it's so basic all of the functions would be built in...to me. the task is not as easy as "small brained" people say it is. i really need to get on the ball with taking exposure notes. =)

Ohhhhhh...somehow...for some very odd reason....this train of thought seems very familiar to me.....It happend just before I started seeking professional help for my "I couldn´t find my place in the world syndrom" 😀 😛 (later, I just found out it was GAS attack all the time)
