sorry, i thought a summar was a leica lens...

Summar, wintar, I don't think it would vignette any time of the year. Should be okay, but that's just my guess.

But what's this Walz thing? Doesn't sound like Leica to me. I mean, surely a Leica hood should go on the front of a Leica lens? Any old hood will not provide the famed Leica "look" and the pictures from your lens will be rubbish...

have you seen the price for the leica hood for this lens? there are 2 on ebay now and they are not even close to cheap!

Well returning to normality - I'm sure they are expensive - anything old Leica seems to be. But you only have Japanese lenses on a Japanese camera? Is that some kind of a religious thing? (Off topic of course, sorry about that.)

I'd be lost if I could only use Leica lenses. Those tabs drive me nuts. Each to his own.
