From 1997 when the GID Miss Alignment / Autism broke through , I negelected listening and my sound system until it became unsound .

I saw an add for a plinth for my Rega , but the arm is tired and it funds are exhausted .

I have a Linn Classik Movie [ Cd / Fm / 45w amps / DVD ] , but it won't drive my speakers .

In desperation I contacted Arthur of PT / Funk and he agreed to revive my very dead PT in exchange for another Gyrodec turntable .

Quad 22s + some other items raised just over £400 on e-bay .
I can have my 1980s Heybrook amps sorted for around £250 plus enough for a decent Grado cartridge .

Currently my 1933 Leica II black and Nickel is safe , but if I need to dee'vert funds from seeing to hearing , it may have to go LOL

Well Dee, I have had a similar neglect of my system going on for some time. I use a Rega P25 table with Grado Platinum reference cartridge playing through an old Marantz 2010 model receiver and Altec Valencia speakers.

A while ago in my darkened living room I picked up the tone arm that I thought I had cued up. The arm was not cued and I bent the cantilever on the cartridge. I had never done that in 40 years of vinyl listening! :bang:

Now it is time to talk to the folks at Grado and get the diamond back in the groove.

Good listening to you as you move to get your audio back.

Steve
