Harlo everyone,

After lurking around here for the past month,
reading almost every single post here,
visiting every single local store,
boring the life out of the store owner,
I bought an Bessa R2 with lenses!

Starting off, I now have an Ultron 1.9/28, and Nokton 1.4/40
Here's my initial gallery:

Crtique comment welcome.

My next 'get' will be the Heliar 4.5/15.
Or should I pay more and get the 12mm instead?
Thanks in advance.

Manfred

Hi Manfred, and welcome. Looks like you have jumped in with both feet! We'll look forward to seeing your galleries (what you have is very nice so far).

But what's up with "pizzahut88"? Your favorite restaurant? Or do you own 88 Pizza Huts?

I wouldn't bother with the 12mm. Not for more than twice the cost. The 15mm is a very impressive lens.

Congratulations on joining our little party, here.

hey pizza man, get ready to roll. great first choice. Stick with the lenses you have for AWHILE. A lens is like a horse. You need to spend time with it to know it.

Hi!

Gee thanks . . .😛

Well, it's not quite my favourite restaurant,
was just trying to find a easy to remember name,
been using this name for a long while.

If I had 88 Pizza Huts, then I wouldn't have to think about what to get first.
Bessa's are truely great bargain.

Really!
I was thinking of the same too!
Almost twice the price for three more mm.

Yes, thanks to the party here,
after seeing all the works posted here,
I became confident that it was possible to get great results.

Best regards,
Manfred

Hei and welcome. I'm - reluctantly I must ad - selling my RF gear and have a faultless 15mm Heliar available. It's one of the limited "1900-2000 - 100 Jahre" edition. Not that I know it to be any different from a regular one. Finder included, of course. Though I would suggest you buy a Bessa L for just this lens - I did. Contact me if you're interested. An images I've taken with it:

It's fantastic for architecture as there is basically no barrel distortion.
