Hi there in RF land,

I've been using DSLRexchange for a while now but have had enough (of digital not the site). I have now have two broken RF's, that's not really true my canonet's meter never worked and I can't find the camera now, and my Olympus 35sp fell about two meters and has a permanent tilt/swing lens, so I really have one RF with a wonky lens. Now I want to get a R2A with a 35 ultron, hopefully by next month and may be then a 12mm or 15mm Heliar's. I would get the R2M that R. white is selling but I don't want the 50mm lens. So now I'm wondering if I should get a R2 instead of the R2A. Or maybe just get a Bessa L w/12mm or 15mm. Is this what you call GAS? Anyway I'll have lots of time here to bug the hell out off all you guys and galls in the future.

Welcome to the forum Alex. Yes, that is what we call GAS. You'll fit in well around here.

Or maybe just get a Bessa L w/12mm or 15mm.

If it's of any interest, I find the Bessa L and 15mm work beautifully - there's really no need for any focus aid with such lenses.

I won't disagree with this, but should one's primary lens be a 15mm?
Or am I just reading this entire thing incorrectly?

Hey, been enjoying your stuff in the gallery...didn't know you were in Greece...crazy! I like your Canonet stuff, so much that I think I'd like to pick one up (how'd you get that vignetting in the record store anyhow?). Not interested in getting another of those?

Get the R2A, it is a much more refined Bessa. Get both the 35mm and the 15mm - they are both great lenses.

I think I'm going to have to get the 15 cause the 12 maybe too wide so an L will come in handy.

Langdon, the shot your talking about was shot wide open that is why the vignetting was so evident. If I remember correctly I burn in the corners just a bit (6%) but its there to begin with.
