I do think this debate should be coloured by one's use of high ISO shots - screen or print?
Pixel-peeping at 100% on your monitor will certainly show significant noise differences between the M9 and Canikons. But when you make a print, is the noise as visible and is it objectionable?
I find that noise is much less of any issue in print and as I generally shoot to print, the M9 high ISO noise is of little consequence to me.
