high speed, low contrast b&w combo?

trix in diafine is a pretty low contrast combo that i have used, but i don't know about many other options. need 800-1600 speeds and a low contrast look, any suggestions?

Either of those films in dilute Rodinal works too. Something in the 1:100 neighborhood.

One of the reasons I don't use Tmax is because I think it's too soft...but you can push it...

I use either D-76 1:1 or HC-110 1:100 (1 time use) or HC-110 1:31
I have used Tmax Developer at whatever they suggest for normal developing.
I don't develope for a soft look, I prefer contrast in a print...

Give whichever film you use twice the exposure and half the development time. You know, pull it one stop for less contrast. HC110 works well that way.

Delta 3200 at any of those speeds... even up to 6400
Developed in DDX or Xtol at recomended times is quite low speed.
