hey, they're only Zorkis
I'm takin' the day off.
So I'm loadin' up a bunch of cameras, a bunch of lenses and a bunch of film. And probably the wife. Maybe the brother. Puttin' it all in the family Ford and going for a drive. It's a pretty, sunny day. Good light, perfect temp. So should I ... ??
Feel free to post. I'm headin' out the door, but I'll check in when I stop for an RC & Moonpie.

(a) go to nearby big city (shoot the hustle/bustle weekend rat race)
(b) go to nearby small towns (shoot various stages of dilapidation)
(c) go to nearby small town craft / music fair. (shoot lots of small town folks doing stupid stuff.)
or (d) just go to rural countryside (shoot landscapes, barns, tractors, my brother sleeping in the back seat)

I'd stay away from the big city since you'll have youe wife & brother in tow. not that they'd be in any danger but that they might get bored sooner. I'd think you could apply b,c,& d all together as you drive.
For me I think I'll go out & catch the Southern 630 Steam train. That RC & Moonpie sounds great. I love RC Cola. Some places still sell em in a bottle round here.

I started a project called Tennessee back roads a while ago. It never really got off the ground, because of :
A, work hassles
B, hard to shoot when you can't park the car
C, general laziness
I would do "d", and save a moon pie for me.
Btw where are you?

'c' sounds the most appealing to me today...

I vote for various stages of dilapidation - you can't go wrong!

Ok, so "day off" turned into "4 hours off". With smartphone in tow, I'm never really off. But had a nice drive away from city. Got a few dilapidation shots and opted for calazone + coffee + ice cream rather than Moon Pie. Highlight of the day, I rescued a Zenit B from a roadside flea market for $quat. Seems to work fine, dirty but decent cosmetically, case included, but ... no lens. :-/ M42 mount, shouldn't be hard to acquire. Yet another one-of-these-days projects added to the pile or resale to a loving home.
Thardy, I live in the NE corner of Oklahoma, work and shop in NW Arkansas, 15 minutes from my home. Spent the day driving in OK, AR & Missouri.
