Hi guys,

saturday finally i'll leave to the holidays, two weeks on the Dolomites .

The other times that i've gone to the Dolomites i don't had a rangefinder equipment and this's the first time that i'll go with my bessa, usually i used my D70s and the nikkor lens, now it's about one year that my nikon equipment is close in the bag....

I'm undecided ......

Yesterday i've take the D70s in the hand and it'has been very strange, after a year of Bessa, how it's fat and how many buttons.

Please give me an advise..

Let me see. You cannot decide whether you should take the camera you enjoy using now over a camera you have not used in one year. That is a difficult question. I would take the D70.

Take some Reala and a couple of lenses, like 25 and 50 or 28 and 50. This with your Bessa will weigh nothing, and you will get better pictures in the end.

In the doubt i've already buyed 5 rolls of Velvia and some efke 25 and Across..

I think that i'll choose the Bessa, it's very important for me the burden, in one little bag i put a R4M a R2A a 50mm Nokton a 21 a 28 a 35 Color skopar, with the d70s i've to take a big lowepro rucksack...

With pleasure I took my Bessa R to India and Mongolia many times, until I got my R-D1. It's that I also have a Leica M2 that I use as a backup to my R-D1, or else I would have chosen the Bessa R to be its backup. I guess one could say the Bessa R is the backup of the M2. 🙂

If you go climbing, take the R2a, the 50 and the 28 and you are set.

And Reala and Superia of course.

Cheers,

Roland.

I'll not go to climb, but i'll do (i hope) many long trek of 4/5 hours, the only thing that don't convince me it's the lengthy work at the scanner that wait me when i'll come back home
