Holy Moly--two 50/.95 lenses!!!

Yesterday while checking out the camera shops in the old Namdaemun shopping area of Seoul (Korea), I saw two 50/.95 lenses w/ caps for sale on Canon 7's in two different stores for approx. 1M won. Now that's quite an experience for a Canon RF fan like me!

However, I passed.

Hmmmmmm...that seems like a fair price today. Assuming the body & lens is in decent condition.

Throw in a bit of haggling and the price gets even better.

I have been tracking auction prices on this lens for fun, and unconverted units are averaging about $900 over the last couple of months. Mint Canon 7's are going for around $200, so this price is fair.

Try doing searches on Ebay using "Canon TV" under the photographic section. The TV version of the lens will sometimes come up under "other lenses" and such. They have a -Mount adapter on them, so look like 25mm screw mount lenses. Sometimes they pass under the RADAR screen. These can be converted to Leica mount for a bit more money than an RF coupled version.

And if you get really lucky, the non-TV version sometimes gets a C-mount adapter stuck to it and a $200BIN.
