Took a stab at making lens hoods for my Fed 2 and Yashica Lynx.

For the Fed I used the empty portion of a silicone tube. I cut out a small section and then glued the tube to fit. Had to sand the plastic to get the spray paint to stick.

I used some brown plastic weatherstripping with a sticky side for the Lynx. Covered most of the outside with electrical tape.

Crude, but they fit.

Did you know that a toilet paper tube is the exact size for the Fed Industar 2.8? Just in case you need a hood in an emergency............

Good tip about the toilet paper! I'll try it out with the rolls we have here in Holland as soon as one is finished.

OK, I'm off to finish a roll.... 😛

Very neat ideas.

There is a paint for outdoor plastic garden furniture which might adhere to plastic a little bit better. In case you want to got into series production.
