Look what I just won on the 'bay...

A Pentax Auto 110 kit - with lenses, filters, hoods, flash, motordrive, bag and strap, all in a case with PENTAX written over the outside. Very nice!

You know, part of me wants to lay it down like a fine wine and wait for it to become a valuable collectible...

But part of me wants to slap a film in the back, stick the camera and lenses in my bag and go out and take photos with it...

The second part is winning...!

Srtiwari: You can get 110 film mail order, likewise with developing.
I even found one roll in a shop near home.
So it's doable, you just need to look around a bit first.

Not much chance of that, until the plastics of most have crumbled - there were that many Auto 110's sold and sparingly used and that many kits already originally sold speculating on their collectibility, that they constantly fail to get anywhere near their original sales price. So go ahead and use it!

and where will you find 110 film ?

edit : OK :D

Hurry before Walmart stops selling 110 film. Buy all you can find. Freeze it. Use it.

ps: I have seen more 110 film at Walmarts in small towns than places like Houston. I guess folks in the country still use film.

In Germany, Müller and probably other Drugstore chains still carry it, so chances are that you can get hold of it even in many mid-size towns. Otherwise, mail order will do - and that presumably will last, as there is a considerably sized small-format subculture.

Wow, that is really fabulous. I guess I just dream on for a good win. Although, I bought (cheap) a Agfa Isolette II just to get the case. The camera looked like it has never been used, even the bellows is hole free, clean, and in tact. Of course it has the usual shutter and lens freeze up. Here is a photo of two SLR Pentax cameras (one normal the over ate):

After you see 110 film pics, you will not want it.

That's why I sold an Olympus 1/2 frame camera that I had. Its body was no smaller than my Rollei 35 but the film frame was ... half the size. The full 35mm film frame is small enough as it is.
