Can anyone suggest where i can find a series-7 ND filter for my pre-asph 35 Lux?

Also can anyone suggest any cheap alternative to the $84 lens hood for a Zeiss ZM 21/2.8 Biogon?

Thanks,
Gary

I want the hood to just keep my fingers off the glass as much as anything. i've been watching ebay for weeks trying to score a serie-7 ND filter. No luck. I just can't believe nobody makes one. Anyone know if a regular 49mm filter will work?

A series 7 is 50.8mm according to Tiffen chart. That makes your 49mm 1.8mm too small and a 52mm 1.2mm too big. I seem to remember 52mm dropping right into a series7 holder, though, so you might give that a try.

52mm does not fit any ser 7 holder I have although I haven't tried on the 35 p-asph hood. I wouldn't bet on it though.

In case you missed my link, there are a few NDs listed in their ser 7 inventory. Otherwise e-prey.

Apologies Tony, I forgot to thank you. I've fired them off an email. Cheers.

Does anyone know if special "wide-angle" filters are needed to prevent vignetting when used with the CV 15/4.5 Heliar? I was just about to pull the trigger on a B+W ND filter from B&H when I notice they also have "Extra Wide Glass" versions with oversized metal rings.

I'll be using it with an APS-C camera (Ricoh GXR) but it is important to me that it will work without vignetting on a FF sensor camera (roll on M10)!

Anyone have this lens and experience with filters on an M9?

Thanks!

EDIT: The "wide" versions are out of stock with 6-8 week estimated delivery. I leave for Italy in 2 weeks!

Apologies if this isn't the correct forum for this question....

I use the same hood (12504) on my 35/2 v3.

You can either use Series 7 filters, thin 49mm filters, or even thick 49mm filters (like B+W) if you revert them. Note that B+W MRC filters are multi-coated on both sides.

No idea on your 15 mark II.

Interesting, I have a couple of B+W 52mm filters in my B&H shopping cart (for the 15), couldn't pull the trigger because of their religious Friday holiday but now I can add a B+W 49 for the 12504 hood. I hope you're right about this!

Cheers!

Just tried a 48mm B&W filter in the (12504) hood from my 35 pre a 'lux dropped right in seems to fit just fine. Of course if your patient just try B&H. They sell them (series 7 nd) as a special order item.
