Hood for the 4th generation 28mm elmarit

Is there any alternative to the standard square hood, which is very big and rather unsightly?

The lens in question is the 46mm thread 28mm ELmarit version IV.

Not meaning to be a smart alleck, but that lens isn't prone to flare, so why do you need one?

The Leica 12466 hood will fit, but be sure you are sitting down before you search for a price 😀

The 4th gen Elmarit shares its hood with the Summicron right?

I'm using the lens hood from the 35 Summilux Asph on my 28 Summicron so I would presume it would work for your Elmarit as well? Leica 12589
