Been slogging along at 28.8 or less forever. Heck I can remember when 300 baud was standard. That will change for me in a couple of weeks, however, when I hook up to 256 kbps DSL. There's faster service around but the difference between that is going to be great. As you dial-up folks know, you gotta be careful about clicking onan RFF thread with 200 responses. It might not show up on the screen until after your funeral.
Anyway, I about to be a happier camper and probably will be more productive at work, too🙂

28800 ? Almighty god !! Your are a patient character, aren't you ? 🙂
At 265 Kbit you'll feel as if the gallery is completely on you HD !!

Happy surfing !!

Finally got DSL here at home about three months ago -- it took me all of about 15 minutes to become completely spoiled by it!!! I have a construction project going and only dial-up is available on-site, it's better than nothing...(I remember when we use to build houses without computers😀)

Back when Commodore PETs were in vogue, I was considered a genius when I wrote a program in BASIC to transfer obituaries from mortuaries to a newspaper mini computer -- 300 baud -- one character at a time and the timing routines had to be different for virtually every computer. But a funeral director gave me a bottle of Jack Daniels for my trouble.

OH BOY! Your high speed internet addiction or "HI SIAD" as we like to call it is on it's way. And as for being productive in a working environment....GOOD LUCK, now the almighty E$$$ will truly become a 4 letter word.
