(Hopefully) simple vuescan question

I want to batch scan 6 negs at a time with my Coolscan 5000, after previewing and manually cropping. After each scan, it asks me to name and save the scan and if I want to edit the scan in another application or proceed to the next scan. Is there any way of automating the process so it will scan and save 6 scans without needing input from me at each scan?

1. Make sure 'Task' is set to 'Scan to file' on 'Input' tab
2. On same tab, select 'Scan' in the 'Auto save' drop-down box.
3. Select auto or batch scan (can't remember exact option, haven't got the scanner attached)
4. Give the file name under 'Output' tab, using e.g. 001+ at the end to ensure that you don't overwrite the file each time.

That should do it.

PS, you may have 'Auto print' set to something other than 'None' if it asks you to open in an external application - try turning that off.
